The average distance form the EArth to the sun is 150000000 km. If the light travels 300000000 m/s, how long does it take for light to travel from the sun to the Earth?

I know that you have to convert 150000000 km to m and it is 150000 m. I dont know what to do after that.

I know that you have to convert 150000000 km to m and it is 150000 m.

First, your conversion is incorrect. To avoid conversion errors, put the units into your equation and cancel them as appropriate:

(150,000,000 km)[1,000 m/1 km] = 150,000,000,000 m = 1.5 x 10^11 m

Next, use the simple distance formula: distance = (velocity)(time)

d = vt

You are interested in time, so rearrange the formula to solve for t:

t = d/v

Can you take it from here?
