1) Passes through (1,2) and is parallel to 3y = 3x-1.

2) Passes through (-5,3) and is perpendicular to 2x -y = 3.

3) Has x-intercept of 7 and y-intercept of -1.

The answers are supposed to turn out as equations I think but I'm not sure, after all, I'm mathematically challenged :p Please help me with this, I'll give you the full ten points if you could give me and explanation since I probably wont understand it fully if you just give me an answer :3 And thank you!!! You'd be a great help :) No mean comments, I know I'm stupid :p

1) Passes through (1,2) and is parallel to 3y = 3x-1.
Two lines are parallel if and only if they have the same slope.

2) Passes through (-5,3) and is perpendicular to 2x -y = 3.
Two lines are perpendicular if and ony if the product of the slopes is -1.

3) Has x-intercept of 7 and y-intercept of -1.
Do you know what "x-intercept" and "y-intercept" mean? You given two (x, y) points on the line and JeffM told you that any (non-vertical) line can be written in the form y= b+ mx. Put the x and y values of the two points into that equation and you willl have two equations that are easy to solve for b and m.

Don't make mean comments about yourself. Your use of grammer and spelling indicates that you are NOT stupid. You do need to spend some time learning basic definitions and formulas in mathematics.
