Is there a limit "a" such that,

lim (3x^2 + ax + a + 3) / (x^2 + x - 2)

exists? If so, find the value of "a" and the value of the limit.

The question is incomplete.

Limit for x? (to what?)

for example,

\(\displaystyle \lim_{x\to 0} \frac{3x^2 + ax + a + 3}{x^2 + x - 2} = \ - \frac{a+3}{2}\)

The above limit exists for all the values of 'a' - no restrictions.
