Hi All!

I am having trouble creating a formula. I ran a test pilot where 12 associates participated for 20 days(7 hours per day). The associates use a tool for a total of 5.38 hours during the pilot. How can I found out what was the average each associate used the tool every day?

Thanks,

I'll assume what you mean is that you recorded how long each person used the tool over the 20 days, and added those numbers for all 12 people, and the sum was 5.38 hours. It's possible that you mean something different.

Then the average total amount of time used (for one person) would be 5.38/12 = 0.44833 hours per person; and the average per day for each person would be 0.44833/20 = 0.022416 hours = 1.345 minutes per day per person.

That is, ultimately, we divide the total time by the total number of person-days, which is the product of the number of people and the number of days: 5.38 hours/(12 persons * 20 days) = 0.022416 hours/person-day.

Can the tool be used simultaneously at any time by multiple associates?

Thank you so much for the help. It is greatly appreciated!
