Im not sure if i got it right, please let me know if its correct or not

----if a ball is thrown from (0,16) vertex = (1.2,19) x-intercept = (3,0)

-function increasing when 1.2< x and
-decreasing when x >1.2?
-positive intervals 0≤ x ≤3?

since graph doesnt go below x-axis, there arent any negative intervals right?

The ball will rise until it reaches the vertex, and then begin falling. So for \(\displaystyle 0<x<1.2\) the ball is rising, and for \(\displaystyle 1.2<x<3\) the ball is falling.

If \(\displaystyle y=0\) is a place where the ball is stopped from falling further (like the ground), then yes, there are no negative intervals. :D
