My professor gave us an example sheet on how to do a correlation on spss, we have to read the results and write it using a statistical sentence, I'm having trouble understanding it. Someone wanted to test the benefits of exercise on IQ, stress reduction, high self-esteem, and greater overall life satisfaction, using a sample of 30 adults. I typed all the information in SPSS and this is what it told me:
IQ- correlation of .368 and sig .046
Stress- -.788 and sig .000
Satisfaction- .678 and sig .000
Self-Esteem- .843 and sig. 000
if I was using .05 level, and wrote it like this, would it be correct?
Exercise had a significant effect on Satisfaction, r(30)=.678, p<.001.
