Here is the word problem "we", my daughter and I, are having.
You buy Calla Lillies and Peonies, at a flower shop. The lillies are $3.50 each, the Peonies cost $5.50 each. The total cost of 12 flowers is $52. How many Calla Lillies did you purchase and how many Peonies were purchased?
Anyone? Please and Thank you!

Call Calla Lilies : C

Call Peonirs : P

12 of flowers

P+C=12

3.5 C + 5.5 P = 52
