I'm taking algebra for the 1st time. I'm stuck on this word problem:

You are offered two different jobs selling telecom equipment. One has an annual salary of $20,000 plus a year-end bonus of 1% of your total sales. The other has a salary of $15,000 plus a year-end bonus of 2% of your total sales. How much would you have to sell to earn the same amount in each job?

It looks like x=$ in sales. You must find expressions for both salaries. I will give the first:

the expression for the 20,000 a year salary: $20,000 + .01x. Now find the other one, and compare.
