Help with a formula please....

Okay all you math whizzes, I need help. For some reason my brain can't process this right now.....

I am trying to calculate the score of a test.

Section One is worth 25% of the total grade. The score is 80 out of a possible 100.
Section Two is worth 20% of the total grade. The score is 90 out of a possible 110.
Section Three is worth 25% of the total grade. The score is 36 out of a possible 75.
Section Four is worth 25% of the total grade. The score is 54 out of a possible 75.
Section Five is worth 5% of the total grade. The score is 3.56 out of a possible 5.

Can someone help me figure out what the score is, and also explain how you figured it out so I can explain it to someone else?

\(\displaystyle 0.25 * 80 / 100 = 20\%\)

\(\displaystyle 0.2 * 90 / 110 \approx 16.4\%\)

\(\displaystyle 0.25 * 36 / 75 = 12\%\)

\(\displaystyle 0.25 * 54 / 75 = 18\%\)

\(\displaystyle 0.05 * 3.56 / 5 \approx 3.6\%\)

Add them up

\(\displaystyle 20\% + 16.4\% + 12\% + 18\% + 3.6\% = 70\%\)

You need to calculate a weighted average of the scores. Change each percentage of the total grade to a decimal by dividing by 100 then:

(0.25)(80/100) + (0.20)(90/110) + (0.25)(36/75) + (0.25)(54/75) + (0.05)(3.56/5)
