Given f(x)=ax^b, where a=3.75 and f(3)=14, find b

My thought process:

f(3)=3.75(14)^b
That's all the farther I've gotten, since I swear my set up is totally incorrect. :oops:

f(x)=a x^b
a=3.75

f(x)=3.75 x^b
f(3) means replace x with 3
f(3)=3.75[3^b]
but f(3)=14

14=3.75[3^b]
log 14 = log 3.75 + b log 3
b= [log 14 -log 3.75 ]/ log 3
b=1.20
