I'm not really sure how to explain the problem but I will try my best if you have questions please ask!

My first problem I'm stuck on is 7x-5-12x+ 10

The second one is: 2-C + 2C= 5

Thanks :)

Dear Smiley, you didn't say what you were supposed to do, so I'll assume simplify for the first one:

Combine like terms: 7x -12x = -5x and -5 + 10 = 5, so
7x-5-12x+ 10 = 5 - 5x

Second problem: get all your C;s on one side and everything else on the other side:
2-C + 2C - 2= 5 - 2 Subtract 2 from both sides
-C + 2C = C = 3 Combine like terms and simplify

That should be 7x - 5 - 12x = 10 , right smiley?

WHY can you not solve that? Learning on your own? Missed classes? Poor teacher?

Can you solve this: 5x = 17 ? What does x equal?
