I AM SO STUCK ON THIS - I CANT FIND IT IN MY BOOK AND DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE QUESTION - I THINK I HAVE TO EQUAL THE DENOMINATOR TO ZERO AND SOLVE BUT THEN WHAT DO I DO WITH THE NUMERATOR?? AM I WRONG ALL TOGETHER???

You are correct. What makes the denominator = 0?. Factor the quadratic or use the formula.

UUUMMM I DONT KNOW WHAT MAKES IT EQUAL ZERO I JUST REMEMBER SEEING SOMETHING LIKE THAT A COUPLE MONTHS AGO SO I GUESSED!! IF I FACTOR IT IT WILL BE

Yes, Now what makes (x-6)=0?. What makes (x-5)=0?. That's the easy part.

what is the question asking to "write answer with ????
is the answer just supposed to be 6?x and 5?x or is there something more i need to do??

That's right. That means that x can not equal 5 or 6. Because then you have division by 0 and it is undefined. See?. Don't make it too difficult :wink:
