Question:

Find the equation of a line through the origin, with positive slope, which is tangent to the parabola y= x^2-2x+2. plz show me the steps!

The equation thru the origin is y=mx.
The slope is
dy/dx = 2x-2 = m so
y=(2x-2)x=x^2-2x+2
2x^2-2x=x^2-2x+2
x^2=2
X=sqrt(2) which makes the line
y=mx=(2X-2)x = (2sqrt(2)-2)x
