A coffe mug is a cylinder closed at one end. The internal radious in 7 cm with an internal height of 9 cm

a) if pi = 3.14, find the volume of liquid the mug can hold

b) if 1200cm3 of liquid is poured into the mug, find the depth to the nearest whole mm

a) Just use the basic cylinder-volume formula, and plug "7" in for "r" and "9" in for "h".

b) Use the same formula. But this time, plug "1200" in for "V". Use the same value for "r", and solve for the value of "h".
