  1. Which rental company should be chosen if you use the barbeque during lunch (11:05 - 12:30) and keep the barbeque to continue sales during the football game that will end about 4:30? Justify your answer.
  2. Which rental company should be chosen if your school lunch hours run from 11:05 - 12:30? Justify your answer.
  3. Which rental company should be chosen if your school returned the barbeque the following day? Justify your answer.

I think you may have not given us all the information required to solve the problem so please check that all the information in the problem is in your post.

Let's take problem 1.

What is the cost if you choose company A and rent for 5 hours and 25 minutes?
What is the cost if you choose company B and rent for 5 hours and 25 minutes?
What is the cost if you choose company C and rent for 5 hours and 25 minutes?

I did question 1 and 2, now i don't understand what question 3 means. Does it mean continue the barbecue?

It is irrelevant whether you continue cooking or not. The question involves how many hours do you rent the equipment for. if you do not return it until tomorrow, that ups the hours, right?

Plotting the graphs of these plans, we see how they compare.

If you're going to keep the equipment overnight (even more than 8 hours, or so), then it looks like that "yellow" plan is the way to go.
