How do you do problems like these two?

Simplify: (y+2)(y^2-4y+3)

and

Divide: (5a-6+6a^2)/(2a+3)

Thanks you in advance

Simplify: (y+2)(y^2-4y+3)

= y * (y[sup:302afkl2]2[/sup:302afkl2] - 4y + 3) + 2 * (y[sup:302afkl2]2[/sup:302afkl2] - 4y + 3)

now continue....

and

Divide: (5a-6+6a^2)/(2a+3) <<< Factorize the numerator first

Thanks you in advance

\(\displaystyle Factor, \ factor, \ factor.\)

\(\displaystyle (y-2)(y^2-4y+3) \ = \ (y-2)(y-1)(y-3)\)

\(\displaystyle and \ \frac{5a-6+6a^2}{2a+3} \ = \ \frac{(2a+3)(3a-2)}{2a+3} \ = \ 3a-2, \ and \ a \ \ne \ \frac{-3}{2}, \ why?\)
