1. Solve the following problem for the roots by using the quadratic formula.

2(6 - x) = x(x + 5)
answer: ?

2. Use the given equation and associated roots to perform the following exercise.
Enter your ANSWERS below. (This is a step by step process.)

3x2 + 11x - 4 = 0 and rt1 = - 4 , rt2 = 1/3

Identify a, b, and c. (Hint: you may have to arrange the equation in the form ax2 + bx + c = 0.)

Well I go to an online school, all of my problems are on my laptop & I do my work on paper. Lots of paper. I don't have the time to write out allll my work. I've a deadline to fill.

Since all of the questions are basically the same except #1, why not show your work for just one or two of the questions?

2(6 - x) = x(x + 5)

Did you apply the Distributive Property on each side, to get rid of the parentheses?

That leads to a quadratic formula whose General Form is:

x^2 + 7x - 12 = 0

Did you get this far?

The quadratic polynomial factors.

Do you do that?

Without seeing what you've done, and without reading any statements about what you already know, it's hard to determine where to start helping you. 8-)
