I have a quiz that I can take some a make up some problems and this problem is worth 10 points and will really help me can some one please help. Its a math survey course I have part of the problem.

I have a question I am working out of Mathematical Ideas 10th edition its a survey math course and stuck on a Venn diagram problem and wondering if you can help me figure out what goes in each circle.
The Problem is
Melissa Young, financial aid director of a small college surveyed the records of 100 sophomores and found the following

49 receive Government Grants
55 receive private scholarships
43 receive aid from the college
23 receive grants and private scholarships
18 receive grants and aid from the college
8 receieve help from all three sources

How many students
a. Have received GOVT grants only
b. have private scholarships but not govt grants
c. receive finanical aid from only one of these sources
d. receive aid form exactly two of these sources
e. receive no finanical aid from any of these sources
f. receive no aid from the college or from the Government.

My problem is I keep getting over 100 people and cant quite get it I would greatly appreciate it if you can help me. I got the answers for a-d juss can't apply it to the diagram i get the answers are
a.16
b. 32
c. 33
d. 45
e. 14
f. 26

Thank you so much Melissa

What do you mean by this statement?

In the future, please post follow-ups and replies as replies, not as edits to previous posts. I almost didn't notice that, since my last visit, you'd added the answers you'd found.

Please reply explaining clearly (step-by-step) how you arrived at these answers. Thank you.

I think there is a bit missing.
You should have something like this:
"X receive college aid and private scholarships."
Was that given? If so what is X?

Yes I'm sorry 28 recieve college and private scholarships.

The reason why I edited it was not to add stuff was to taker out my e-mail address that was asked earlier.

The other part was 28 people receieve college aid and private scholarships

I'm befuddled. Do you still have a question or do you now know all?

No I still cant figure this question out. I been working on it and still can't wuite get it anybody???

Draw three intersecting circles.
Label them G, P and A.
Put an 8 in the center for the 8 that had all three.
Put a 10 in the G & A intersection from the 18 that had both those.
Put a 15 in the G & P intersection from the 23 that had both those.
Put a 20 in the P & A intersection from the 28 that had both those.
Put a 20 in the last G section from the 49 who had that.
Put a 12 in the last P section from the 53 who had that.
Put a 5 in the last A section from the 43 who had that.
Add all those up, subtract from 100 and put the 14 outside all the circles.

Thank you so much i greatly appreciate it. The only thing is i believe Govt is 16 because you need that to add up correctly.

You're right. I must have tried to save typing by copying the previous one and forgot to change the 20. It is 16 on MY sketch.
