Here is the problem I need to solve: I also need the formula

Miranda visited a petting zoo. She counted 95 ducks and goats. She also counted 316 legs between the ducks and goats. How many of each kind of animal did Miranda see?

How many legs does a duck have? How many legs does a goat have?

If you count two legs for each animal, how many legs does that account for? How many legs are left over? Which sort of animal must they belong to? How many of them are there then?
