how do u solve the following? i really need to pass so i dont lose HOPE..im bad at math

1) -4*(8*-6)

2)(5*-2)(3-4x)

i need to show all work..please help me out

What do you mean by * ... Is it the multiplication sign ? Power !

If the * means "multiplication", your problem can be solved like this:
1) -4*(8*-6)=(-4)(-48)=192
( you may do multiply the two numebers in the ( ) first; get the result and continue to time -4)
(You know that if a negative times a negative, the sign turns to positive ,right?)

2)(5*-2)(3-4x)
= 5(-2)(3-4x) (Multilplied 5 and -2 first)
=10(3- 4x) distribute property
=30- 40x
