I need to name this polynomial. y=(x+4)(x+1)(x-3)

Would it be a cubic polynomial because it's all multiplying, or would it be a linear?

Please explain it to me..
Thanks

Yes.

Replace your phrase "because it's all multiplying" with "because after it's all multiplied we get x^3".

It is a cubic polynomial (AKA: 3rd-degree polynomial).

The three factors are each linear (AKA: 1st-degree polynomials).

Cheers
