Help Identifying an Equation

I need some help Identifying an equation:

ty?? ? y? = 3t^2

I am confident that I can solve it once I know what it is, I just can't seem to figure it out. This is a review problem for my final, and my teacher said there are THREE! different ways to solve it, I'm worried because I can't even find one.
