Help I got a deadline by midnight and i need help with 34 problems

Its symplifying expressions and combining like terms:

-5x+2ysquared +3-4ysquared+4x+3

We text exponents using the caret symbol ^ (it's a shifted six, on most keyboards):

-5x + 2y^2 + 3 - 4y^2 + 4x + 3

It appears that you missed the post titled "Read Before Posting". Please check it out; it explains how to properly ask for help on these boards.

Most importantly, we need to know why you are stuck.

Do you know the meaning of the phrase "like-terms"?

For example, the two 3s above are like-terms because they are both "constants".

The terms 4x and -5x are like-terms because they are both multiples of the "variable" x.

You need to add like-terms together. Where are you stuck?

If I wrote anything that you do not understand, please ask specific questions.

Cheers ~ Mark
