Create a function table, make a linear equation, and graph the line on a scale of 10cm:1cm.

MY QUESTIONS: will someone tell me what a function table is and how to do it and an example of it. What is a linear equation also? tell me how to do it, and and example of it.

Where is the function that you are supposed to be working with? You can't do any of that stuff if you don't have a fuction to start out with.

A linear function is one that produces a straight line. The function can be written in the form y=mx+b. For example, y=2x+1 is a linear function.

A function table just shows the y values that correspond with the x values. For example, a simple function table of the function y=2x+1 looks like:

x = -2, -1, 0, 1, 2
y = -3, -1, 1, 3, 5

You can keep going because the line extends indefinately. You really only need to know two points to graph a straight line though. If you graph any of those two points and then connect them, they will form a straight line. Remember to include arrow heads at each end point because the line extends indefinately.
