suppose <1 and <2 are vertical angles. what is the value of y if m <1 = y + 82 and m <2 = 6y - 8 ? what are the measures of <1 and <2

is it value of y = 18?
 
yes ... y = 18, but that is not what the question asked.

Find the measures of angles 1 and 2 by substituting 18 for y in each original expression for each angle.
