Problem:
A 15-in TV set also has a width for 12-in what is the height?
Is the formula Hieght = width * length?

With TV's the quoted size means the diagonal length; so 15-in TV means 15 inches diagonally across.
So that means a right triangle with hypotenuse 15 and one side = 12.
Just calculate the other side using Pythagorean theorem: a^2 + b^2 = c^2.
