I haven't been in school for a month because of injuries I have. I'm hoping to get back soon. Apparently we've been going over stuff I learned in the 5th grade, and I can't remember a thing about it all. :(

1) 5 1/3 * 6 2/9 = ? (Do you have to have the same denominator to multiply?)

2) 7/8 ÷ 2/5 = ?

3) (d + 6)/(d - 6) ÷ (d + 6)/(d^2 - 36) = ?

4) 3 3/4 * 7/8 = ?

Write the equation of the line parallel to the given line and passing through the given point. Check your answer by graphing the lines. (Graphing not really necessary.)

5) y = 3x - 2 ; (3,9)

6) 2y = 8x - 8 ; (1,6)

7) 6x = -2y + 16 ; (0,1)

8) One number is 36 more than the second number. Sevin times the smaller number is the larger number. What are the numbers?

9) The difference between two supplementary angles is 130 degress. What are the angles? ( Supplementary angles are two angles whose sum eqals 180 degrees.)

10) The difference between two supplementary angles is 20 degrees. What are the angles?

11) Two angles are complementary. The larger angle is eight times the smaller angle. What are the angles? ( Complementary angles are two angles whose sum equals 90 degrees.)

12) The perimeter of a rectangle is 300 feet. The width of the rectangle is 10 feet more than the length. What are the length and width of the rectangle?

Length = 25ft. Width = 35ft. Correct?

Graph each four sided figure. Write the equations of the lines that form that figure.
I've gotten the figures drawn, but can't remember what to put for the equations.

13) A sqare with the vertices at (2,3), (4,1), (2,1), (4,3)
14) A sqare with the vertices at (1,4), (2,5). (1,5), (2,4)
15) A sqare with the vertices at (3,-2), (-5,4), (3,4), (-5,2)

Thanks for the help. :)

We can't "teach" here, yamaha.

Use google; as example, "multiplying fractions" gives many sites, like:
http://aaamath.com/fra66m-multfract.html

However, if you can't multiply fractions or don't know what the area
of a rectangle is, you're sure not ready for stuff like line equations;
you definitely need a private tutor.

You're going to think I'm stupid. I just re read the problems again a few times and now I get them. Thanks anyways. :wink:

It happens. Sometimes you just need to clear your brain some. Whenever you take test you always skip the ones you don't seem to know and then come back to them with a new perspective.
