Here is a good way to graph it by hand.
Notice that your equation is a linear function meaning that it is a straight line. That means that you can find two points and connect them and you have yourself a graph.
One of the best points to look at is the y-intercept. (this is the point at which the line crosses the y axis)
This can be found by setting 'x' equal to zero...x=0.
All you need now is one more point. You can put anything in for x and get your new 'y' value.
Put those two points on your graph and draw a straight line through them.
