So I have to find the inverse of f(x), which I have done. And I can graph this function, but I don't understand the significance of "x>=0" in the f(x) definition. This is probably really simple and I'm just overthinking it?

f(x)=x^2 , x>=0
f^-1(x)=sqrt(x)

For x = -1 (x<0) it isn't included in the domain of f^-1(x).

If you take the entire parabola, will the inverse be a function?
