Hi first post and hope it is in the right place. Here it goes:

Choose the option which gives the gradient and intercept on the y - axis of the line represented by the equation

3y + 4x = 7

A. Gradient -4, intercept 7.
B. Gradient -3, intercept 7.
C. Gradient -4/3, intercept 7/3.
D. Gradient -1.3, intercept 2.3.
E. Gradient -3/4, intercept 7/4.
F. Gradient -4/3, intercept 7/3.

I've been told it's C, but how?

Thanks:)

3y + 4x = 7

3y = -4x + 7

y = (-4/3)x + (7/3)

y = mx + b

m is the slope, b is the y-intercept

btw ... looks like choices C and F are the same ... typo?

Thank you very much Skeeter. It was a typo F is Gradient 4/3, intercept 7/3. stuck a minus on for some reason, thanks again:)
