Our annual golf tour involves 16 players. 8 represent USA (USA1...USA8) and 8 represent Europe (EUR1...EUR8).
We play three days of golf. On each day, there are four matches. In each match, two USA players combine to take on two European players in a 'fourball' match.
My aim is to pick the team pairings and the fourball matches for the three days, so that none of the 16 have to play with, or against any other player more than once.
Is this possible?
