I am really not getting finding the perfect square for two problems;

1. w^2-5w

2. 2m^2-m-15=0

Please explain the steps in solving these particular problems

Thanks :cry:

It should say = 0.
You simply add the square of 1/2 the multiplier of the w term
w^2-5w = 0
w^2-5w+(25/4)=25/4
(w-5/2)^2=25/4

For the second, divide by 2 first to get 1 for the multiplier m^2
