Hi All,
I need to calculate the price per tonne of pipe. At this moment, I have the price per meter (USD300), the OD (30") and the Wall Thickness (12mm).
Any formula existing to do this calculation?
Based on my calculation, I got USD1363/ton. I am not very sure about my result so your assistance would be highly appreciated.
I got this result with the following method:
1-149 lbs/ft got with the following formula: m = 10.68 (do - tw) tw [m = weight per foot (lbs/ft); do = outside diameter (inches); tw = wall thickness (inches)]
2-lb per meter is 489 lbs/m as 149 (lbs /ft) x 3,281 (ft/m ratio)
3-tonnes per meter is 0.22t/m as 489 (lbs/m) x 0,0004536 (lbs/t ratio)
4-USD/T is USD1363/t as USD300/m = 0,22T/m
Thanks in advance!
