True or False?
The sum of the lenghts of the diagonals of a rhombus is less than its perimeter.

Thanks

What are your thoughts? What have you looked at? What have you tried?

Eliz.

i think the lengths of the diagonals are greater than the perimeter.

The length of one diagonal, or the sum of the lengths of both diagonals? (Your reply is unclear.)

On what basis have you come to this conclusion?

Eliz.

The sum of the lengths of the diagonals is less than its perimeter.
I found a picture of a rhomus and measured it.

Can you conclude anything from taking half of the rhombus (that is, an isosceles triangle), and comparing the lengths of the two equal sides to the length of the third side? Which is more?

(I'm not arguing with your answer. But one picture of one case doesn't necessarily prove anything, and considering the general concepts and relating new things to old things will generally be more useful for learning.)
