Hi, there is a question on my packet involving Proportions it is...
X-3/9 = 1/X+5
This is how I tried solving it...
(X+5)(X-3) cross multiplied which gave me... x squared + 2x-15
then I cross multiplied 1 times 9 which is 9.
I now have x squared + 2x-15=9
then i got x squared + 2x = 24.
where do i go from here?!? I'm sorry I learned this in Algebra 1 this past year but I forgot everything over the summer :/
