The volume of a pyramid is three times the volume of a cone, and the surface area of the pyramid is twice the surface are of the cone. Calculate the height of the cone and the pyramid, if the height of the cone is 18 cm. (Use pi = 22/7)

… Calculate the height of the cone … if the height of the cone is 18 cm …

Hello otpeng. Are you sure they asked you to calculate the height of the cone? It looks like they gave you that height (18cm). Please double-check that you've copied the exercise word-for-word.

Did they say whether the pyramid has a rectangular base? Otherwise, it looks like a fun exercise, but it's hard to know where you got stuck. When you fix the exercise statement, can you also show us how far you got? What formulas are you using, for each volume and each surface area?

PS: Please read the forum's submission guidelines, too. Thanks.

Rectangular base pyramid. They asked to calculate the height of the cone AND PYRAMID!
Thanks.

Just in the interest of full disclosure, this exact same exercise verbatim, potential typo included, was also posted by the same user over on the Askmath subreddit, and no work was shown there either :(

It is a square based pyramid.
