YesFor #5 would the probability formula be
P(A) = number of favorable events/number of total eventsView attachment 14327
Yes10 = total number of letters
4 = total number of vowels
P(selected letter is a vowel) = number of vowels/number of letters
P(selected letter is a vowel) = 4/10 = ⅖
P(selected letter is not a vowel) = number of non-vowels/number of letters
P(selected letter is not a vowel = 6/10 = ⅗
Is this correct?
How would I justify it?
I think you did.How would I justify it?
Ive shortened it.I too think that you did!
Is that fine too?Ive shortened it.
P(A) = number of favorable events/number of total events
10 = total number of letters
4 = total number of vowels, and 6 = total number of non-vowels
P(selected letter is not a vowel) = number of non-vowels/number of letters
P(selected letter is not a vowel) = 6/10 = ⅗
