You might be interested that Roger Penrose, of the tiling fame, has just won part of the Nobel prize for physics for his work on black holes

I really liked the following video. You can watch with pre-teen fidgety children - like I plan to....

The video was great! Especially when the golden ratio came into the story. I thought that this was so cool, especially to show that the pattern goes on forever. However, when they then brought up the Fibonacci numbers, along with the golden ratio, that was a bit too much for me--and I know that there is a connection between the two. In the end I think that the video was scary.
