M is a point on the line segment XY. (a) What is the length of MY if XY = 25.2 in. and XM = 12.6 in.? (b) What may be said about XM and MY in this case? (c) What may be said about XY and MY? (d) If the measurements were in millimeters rather than inches, would the relationships in (b), (c) be changed?

a) Follow the instructions provided in the other, almost identical, exercise you posted.

To say that M is on line segment XY means X-M-Y, that is M is between X & Y.
So distance from X to M, XM, plus the distance from M to Y equals XY, the distance from X to Y.

So in this case, if XM+MY=XY then MY=XY-XM=(25.2)-(12.6)=?

Oh no, I know how to draw a line.....thank you, I have it know. :D
Well, you sure can write well symone; what grade are you in?

Same as my grandson Tyler (the best baseball and basketball player in Ottawa)
