Geometry help needed asap please!!

Hello. I'm stuck on this homework problem and I'm not sure why. This seems too easy. I understand that the interior angles of the bottom triangle equal to 180 degrees, and I also believe that since the top angle is x+7, then the angle directly below (adjacent) is also x+7. For some reason, I'm not sure how to set the equation up. I don't know if 2x+14+2x+3x+1=180 is correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!

The unlabeled angle within the triangle is equal to the labeled angle above it, so what you want is:

[MATH](x+7)+(2x)+(3x+1)=180[/MATH]

Out of curiosity you said then the angle directly below (adjacent) is also x+7 so what motivated you to double that angle.
