Directions:
Determine if there is enough information given in the diagram to prove each statement.

Here are the problems & diagram:

The little red squares stand for right angles.

I got yes for all of them, by using corresponding angles theorem. But, in the back of my book (there are answers for odd #'s), #17 and 19 are yes's. I don't understand why ...
Please help ? :)

just imagine - the first vertical line (making angles 1 & 2) is slanted (not perpendicular to the horizontal line).

Then angle 1 and angle 2 are still congruent - but it will be obvious to you why books answer is correct.

I don't see how it is.
Well then, why did you not indicate a right angle in RED as you did the other two ?

Boy, great answer...
I DIDN'T LABEL THE DIAGRAM.
I DIDN'T MAKE THE DIAGRAM.

I'm showing what was IN THE BOOK.

Ok, I got it. You are YELLING at us (that's what typing in all caps means online), and for some reason you are NOT happy with the response you got (from me!!) on that OTHER forum.

As I said there, many of us volunteer at a number of homework help forums....

Apparently you did not like the response I gave you before (at MathGoodies.com) so you posted it here.

Wouldn't it have been more productive to tell us YOUR thoughts about the problem? What do you think about what we've said?

Oh...maybe that is too much trouble, and does not produce an "answer" you can just copy and turn in.

In the future, please do NOT post the same problem in multiple forums. Post your question just once, consider the response you're given, and tell us what you think about how the problem should be solved.
