Why do you think the last line that you crossed off is wrong? Is it just that it doesn't match an answer you were given, or do you see an error?

(Since I see no geometry here, I would think it goes under algebra, but that doesn't really matter much.)

I asked my tutor for assistance and she didn’t say this was correct. Though she also didn’t say it was wrong lol I’m just looking for verification really or to see how someone else would do it to verify it’s correct before sumbmission.

I see nothing wrong with it; it could be written differently (not necessarily simpler), so it may not have matched what your tutor had.

If you want to check it, you could just plug in a couple numbers like 0, 1, and 2 in the given function, then put the resulting expressions into your inverse to see if you get back what you started with.
