The mean plant height of an inbred crop variety (Sweet Kernel) is 47.8 m. Themean plant height of another inbred variety (Round Kernel) of the same cropis 28.7 m.When crossed together, the resulting F1 hybrids had a mean height of 43.2 m.

(i) Calculate the amount of heterosis exhibited by F1.
(ii) Predict the average height of the F2.

We can help you with the math, but you'll need to provide the industry-specific stuff. For instance, when I Googled "heterosis calculate plants", I quickly discovered (for instance, here and here) that the topic can be quite complex.

Since we are not in your class with you, we have no idea how exact, "real world", approximate, or otherwise you're supposed to be when working this exercise. Please reply with the formula(s), algorithm(s), model(s), or other information they've given you that you feel may relate to this exercise. When you reply, please also include a clear listing of all of your thoughts and efforts so far, so we can see where you're getting stuck.

Thank you! ;)
