The first line describes this expression (I think): tan^2(x) - tan^2(x) * sin^2(x) I'm guessing that the missing instruction for this exercise is something like "use one or more identities to simplify the given expression". If so, you could start by factoring. In the future, please do not post exercises without asking any question of your own. We need to see some effort. :cool:
