I don't know how to start this problem:

Let j(x)=5-2x-3x^2
a. Determine all values of a so that j(a)=0

b. Determine all values of a so that j(1/3 a-4)=0

Start by replacing x with a, factoring f(a), and setting it = 0

b) Same idea. Replace x with (1/3 a-4)

BTW Use more ()'s so we are sure if it is
(1/3)*a-4
1/(3*a)-4 or
1/(3a-4)
