FUNCTIONS--ALL KINDS

Can someone help me figure out how to determine the range and domain for the following types of functions: linear, power (power inverse too), exponential, absolute value, and square root..
And also how to do something about regression and for which function would the regression apply.?

To find the domain, find any "problem" spots (such as division by zero, negatives in a square root, non-positives in a log, etc), and define the domain as everything else.

To find the range, one frequently looks at the graph. But specific techniques will depend upon the specific function in play.

Regression techniques are covered extensively in statistics courses. To learn about the various methodologies, please consider taking a statistics course.

(I'm afraid that teaching you algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics is quite beyond anything we can provide here. Sorry.)
