I am stuck to solve this problem! Is there anyone to help me out:

If g(x)=f(f(x)), what is g(4)?

All you can say is that g(4) = f(f(4)), unless more is said.

Were you told anything about what f is?? Please quote the entire problem as given to you, including instructions for a set of problems that might all involve the same function f.

This is the only question from SAT exams. The answer is square root of 2. Not sure how!

There has to be something missing, because there is not enough information. Function f hasn't been defined, and the value of g(4) depends on it.

For example, if f(x) = 3x, then g(4) = f(f(4)) = f(3*4) = f(12) = 3*12 = 36; while if f(2) = sqrt(x), then g(4) = f(f(4)) = f(sqrt(4)) = f(2) = sqrt(2).

Look to see if they somewhere defined f(x) as the square root.

Or send us an image of the page or a link to it, so we can check for ourselves.
