Um....you're doing LOTS of things wrong.

I'll deal with just a couple of your questions.

2/3 + 3/7

You can't add or subtract fractions unless they have the same denominator....your fractions DON'T.

The least common multiple of 3 and 7 is 21, so 21 is the least common denominator for you fractions. Multiply the numerator and denominator of the first fraction by 7, and multiply the numerator and denominator of the second fraction by 3:

2*7/3*7 + 3*3/7*3

14/21 + 9/21

Ok...now the fractions have the same denominator. Add the numerators, and put the result over the common denominator:

14/21 + 9/21 = (14 + 9) / 21 = 23/21

Use the same approach on the second and third problems.

For the fourth problem, does "x" mean "times"???

If so, multiply the numerators of the fractions, and multiply the denominators of the fractions:

(2/5)*(5/7) = (2*5) / (5*7), or 10/35....now, reduce that fraction.

Do the next couple of problems the same way.

To write 3/5 as a decimal, remember that a fraction indicates a division. 3/5 means "3 divided by 5" Do the division....

3 divided by 5 is 0.6

Use the same approach on the remaining problems.

If you are still having trouble, please repost, showing us EVERY step you took to try to answer each question....then we can see where you need help.

So what did you get for this one? Did you figure out how to use the suggestions in the previous post? Did you solve your other problems okay? I'd be interested in you posting your answers you got to see what you learned!

If not don't worry about it, I'm still trying to figure out problems in the Calculus section! Just try to type what you did, or explain your thinking, and I'm sure then it will help you learn (because then everyone can see which step is confusing you.) Sometimes it just seems ALL confusing, so just try to do one part at a time!
