During a game, the blue team scored one sixth of its point in the first quarter, one fourth in the second quarter, one third in the third quarter, and the remaining points in the fourth quarter. If its total score was 36, how many points did the blue team score in the fourth quarter?

3rd quarter: 1/3

first quarter: (1/6) of total points, or (1/6)*(36)
second quarter: (1/4) of total points, or (1/4)*(36)
third quarter: (1/3) of total points, or (1/3)*(36)
fourth quarter: x points

total points = first quarter + second quarter + third quarter + fourth quarter

36 = (1/6)*(36) + (1/4)*(36) + (1/3)*(36) + x

Now....see if you can solve for x.
