I can't type it out, but here is an example of what we're learning, and i don't understand.

Here's my problem:

2 times ((5-2)^2 over 7 )+2.

I got as far as 2(9/7)+2. But I'm pretty sure it's wrong. I don't know what kind of problems these are so I'm having trouble finding videos. All the ones I find have variables. These don't.

Here's a screenshot from the program we use. It's called iLearn. Well, I learn nothing! lol

It's correct, so far. The Order of Operations tells us to begin simplifying within the inner-most grouping symbols, first. Then work outwards. That's what you did.

The Order of Operations also tells us that next we do multiplication before addition.

Google the quoted phrase "order of operations", to find more lessons and examples about the Order of Operations.

Cheers :)

Why do you think it's wrong?

Example of something similar:
3(5/11) + 4
= 15/11 + 4
= 15/11 + 44/11
= 59/11
Caught the drift? ;)
Knowing you I know that you really wanted to say catch the draft.
